On June,2 at the secondary school #22 the summer school camp started with the ceremony of parade “Hello, my Camp”. During 14 days pupils between the ages of 10-12 take part in the language unit of the school camp. Our daily routine includes games. sports, quests, contests, competitions, excursions, exhibitions, songs, cartoons, projects, tournaments, teambuilding activities, creative activities etc.

[3]In the language unit, teachers try to create a sense of cooperation, sharing and fun. It is important that participants enjoy while they learn. They will be more eager to participate and remember what they are told if it is done in a positive way.
During the sports events they hope to provide an opportunity for children of the community to participate in sports in a healthy, supportive and fun atmosphere. To develop leadership and teamwork skills on and off the playing field.

[5]No doubt that the best activitities for children are active games. Teambuilding games are a great way to involve all kids in being active. Summer school camp is a time of building identity and self-esteem, so encourage every kid in the unit to enjoy the game and find ways to make sure that everyone is able to participate.
The most favourite games of our unit are “The Hares and the Wolves”, “People to People” and “Team Knots”.

[11]There is a football team in our school. So on the 3rd of June our unit went to the football stadium near the center of our town to support our school team. For that the pupils learnt a football rhyme and we were very active fans of our school team.

[21]During the show “The Battle of the Choirs” our unit became the winner. We trained not only a song but we thought about our appearance. All members wore orange neckties. And we did special make up: smiles. The atmosphere was fantastic.

[35]At our school there is a unique Taras Shevchenko museum. It is located on the ground floor of the school №22. Today the pupils had an excursion there. We know Shevchenko more as a poet but he was an artist too.The central focus of the musem are exhibits dedicated to the art, life and literary legacy of the founder of the modern Ukrainian language. On display there are some editions of his Kobzar (poetry).
As well, the Museum has artistic copies of Shevchenko’s creations in many genres and some reproductions of his works.
