The 19th of May we celebrate The Day of Embroidered Blouse. Well, pupils and teachers of our school put on their embroidered blouses and shirts. It was very patriotic and stylish. We were happy to see each other in such nice clothes.
The Vyshyvanka is a traditional embroidered shirt (blouse). The history of Ukraine, its culture, belief and traditions represent on the embroidered blouses. You can see the floral, oak, grapes and poppy ornaments, animal symbols on the Vyshyvankas. Also, there are many colours: black, red, green, etc. Each colour has its own explanation.
Today the blouse expresses patriotism of Ukrainian people. We are proud of wearing national clothes and being Ukrainians!!!
